Team Kinguin have secured a spot at ESL One Cologne after seeing off dignitas 16-8 on de_dust2. The first spot at the upcoming Cologne major was contested by dignitas and Team Kinguin, two teams who had faced each other a couple of weeks ago, at DreamHack Open Summer, with Mathias "MSL" Lauridsen's side running out 16-14 victors at the time. Today's match was the polar opposite: Kinguin came out with guns blazing and strolled to a 7-0 lead as dignitas looked completely helpless. The Danes then finally put a stop to Kinguin's winning streak, but Mikail "Maikelele" Bill's men continued to control proceedings and brought the scoreline to 13-2 at half time. dignitas then executed a flawless pistol round on the Terrorist side, which allowed them to cut the deficit to 5-13, but then a series of rounds were exchanged in gun play before Kinguin eventually sealed a 16-8 success that puts them through to the major.
